The original permission was for a cafe / restaurant unit, however in 2019 it was change of use to public house with ancillary restaurant use, plus exterior seating.
Kennedy Wilson had plans to use the restaurant as a key activation of area and create Capital Dock as a destination. Allta are an established fine dining brand which were a wine bar before Covid, created meal kits during Covid and had pop-ups at Slane Castle and Trinity Car Park. They were deemed the perfect partner to create an unmissable restaurant experience to draw people to the Capital Dock area.
