Lafferty led a multi-disciplinary team including partners to produce a feasibility study including a rough order of magnitude cost estimate for a fill finish expansion at a client site. The study assessed 5 different locations for the project.
The locations were assessed on cost, constructability, impact to ongoing operations, schedule, and operational benefits. The potential locations spanned options from single floor fit-outs to three-floor extensions to the existing facility and all options included high-level specifications and costs for all process equipment required.
The Primary scope of the project was to add manufacturing capacity including a new isolated fill line and lyophilisers. Lafferty led the layout development, process equipment specification and costing, constructability. project schedule and coordinate all other disciplines.
